My Favorite Leave-In Hair Conditioner: It's a 10

Updated on April 24, 2017

I Went From Dry and Frizzy to Soft and Smooth with One Application

I've used lots of different leave-in conditioners on my thick, curly hair over the years, including Mane 'n Tail and Matrix Biolage, both of which were good, but this product -- It's a 10 -- works better for me than any other hair conditioners I've tried.

Whether I use a little or a lot, It's a 10 leaves my hair soft and the curls separated rather than just a mass of tangled frizz. And it doesn't seem -- as the hairdresser who turned me on to this product said -- that you can over-use it, meaning, even if I use quite a few squirts of this product on my damp hair, It's a 10 doesn't dry gooey or sticky or seem to create a build-up over time. Also, the conditioner is as effective for me today as it was when I began using it almost daily about a year ago.

And that's why I'm now recommending It's a 10. This hair product isn't cheap, that's for sure; although it's less expensive on Amazon.com than it has been at the salon I've been going to (where my wash, cut, and dry costs less than It's a 10) or even at the Safeway grocery store where they recently started carrying it, but I think it's well worth the expense. And even a small bottle goes a long way, since you don't need to use a lot of the product at any one time for it to work really well.

Actually, I agree.

If it weren't that I'm relatively cheap, I'd use all of these products all the time. But just using the It's a 10 leave-in conditioner above does seem to make up for the other lesser quality products I use on my hair, like those 99-cent bottles of Suave shampoo.

Key ingredients of this shampoo are listed as: Vitamin C, sunflower seed extract, acai extract, ginger, pomegranate, tahitian noni oil, moringa extract, aloe vera, rooibos tea, and comfrey. After shampooing, you can work the It's a 10 hair mask product into your hair for 1-3 minutes and then rinse. For deeper conditioning, leave it in for 5 to 15 minutes, then rinse. And if you like to use a styling gel, It's a 10 has that too. Apply a dime-size amount of gel (well, I sometimes use more like a quarter or half-dollar size amount) evenly throughout your hair, then let it air dry or style it however you like.
