Simple ... But Simply Delicious

Bacon, cream cheese and raspberry preserves? Yep, together and on a bagel. And it really is that simple. Sounds a little strange perhaps, but trust me, it's so good!

My husband introduced me -- me being reluctant at first -- to this breakfast sandwich, and I was very pleasantly surprised.

What ... you don't believe me? Give it a try on your favorite kind of bagel. You'll see....

(And, yes, I know ... I don't have a photo of this delectable bagel concoction. That's because, each time I've made one, I've ended up eating it and THEN remembered I needed to take a picture. It really is that good!)

The Best Bagel Sandwich Recipe

Not that you really NEED a recipe for this delicious concoction....

Tip: If you want to serve TWO, double the recipe. Three? Triple it. Got the formula down, I hope?

Cook Time

Prep Time: About 10 minutes (including cooking the bacon)

Total Time: About 10 minutes

Serves: One

Ingredients

  • Bacon
  • Cream cheese
  • Raspberry preserves
  • And don't forget the bagel

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon. (Place on a paper towel to absorb fat ... unless you're using turkey bacon, which has little or no drippings.)
  2. Toast that bagel.
  3. Spread that cream cheese (regular or lite or maybe even flavored) on one side of said bagel.
  4. Spread those raspberry preserves on the OTHER side of said bagel. (I should point out that you CAN use another flavor of preserves, jam or jelly on YOUR bagel sandwich. We just prefer raspberry.)
  5. Place bacon in between the adorned bagel halves.
  6. Oila! Your breakfast is served.
